1. Acceptance and scope
By accessing or using minirun.dev (the “Website”), you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Website.
These Terms govern the Website. Minirun is distributed in two ways: the Mac application as a disk image from downloads.minirun.dev, and the iPhone application as source code on GitHub that you build yourself. Those distributions, along with model containers, model weights, open-source components, and third-party services, may be governed by separate licenses or terms. If a separate agreement expressly applies to an item, that agreement controls for that item.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must be legally capable of entering these Terms. If you use the Website for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes the organization.
3. Permitted use
You may use the Website to learn about Minirun, read public documentation, review published model information, and follow links to available software or model containers, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
- Do not interfere with the Website, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, bypass access or security controls, or impose an unreasonable load.
- Do not use the Website to distribute malware, violate intellectual-property or privacy rights, misrepresent affiliation, or engage in unlawful activity.
- Do not copy or present Website content in a way that falsely implies endorsement, compatibility, measured performance, or an official Minirun distribution.
4. Software, containers, and model weights
A Website link or catalog entry does not grant rights to software, a model, weights, datasets, or other artifacts. Review the license, acceptable-use terms, attribution requirements, and restrictions published with each item before downloading or using it.
You are responsible for confirming that your intended use of a model, container, tokenizer, dependency, or output is permitted in your jurisdiction and under all applicable third-party terms.
5. Technical requirements and user responsibility
Model containers can require substantial storage, memory, computation, and transfer time. You are responsible for compatible hardware and software, sufficient capacity, backups, storage condition, network charges, and safe operation of your device.
Documentation and compatibility labels describe the current product state; they are not a guarantee that every repository, device, prompt, model output, or third-party dependency will be suitable for your purpose.
6. Third-party services and content
The Website links to services operated by others, including GitHub, Hugging Face, Apple, and model publishers. We do not control those services or their availability, security, content, terms, or privacy practices.
Model information can be derived from publisher metadata and may change at the source. You should verify current information and license terms at the originating repository before relying on it.
7. Intellectual property
The Website, its original text, design, graphics, and Minirun branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except where an applicable license says otherwise, these Terms do not transfer ownership or grant a right to use Minirun names or marks as your own.
Third-party names, marks, model names, and content remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, relocate, or discontinue any part of the Website, documentation, model listing, or download link. We may correct errors and update compatibility information without prior notice.
We do not promise that the Website will be uninterrupted, that a link or model publication will remain available, or that a feature described in development documentation has shipped.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Model output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. The Website and Minirun documentation do not provide legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other professional advice.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINIRUN AND ITS MAINTAINERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Website at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Website, users, third parties, or legal compliance, including in response to abuse or a violation of these Terms.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and interpretation—will survive.
12. Applicable law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the Website operator, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and courts available in your country of residence are not displaced by this clause.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the Website, distribution model, or law. The “Last revised” date identifies the current version. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
14. General terms and contact
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and any expressly applicable separate agreement form the complete agreement for the Website subject matter.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to contact@minirun.dev, or raised through the Contact page. General product information is available from the Minirun Website.
